We arrived at event headquarters before 7am at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon to make sure everything was in place. Tables were set up, rehearsals were performed, and the park was ready to go at 8am. All participants were given a wristband with a specific number. Hundreds of locations all over the world prepared simultaneously to break the world record, from Florida, California, South Korea, to Dubai. All participants underwent the same 45-minute swim lesson. Both children and adults reviewed the basics of swimming techniques and had a great time doing so!

After completing the 45-minute lesson, volunteers cut off the participant’s wristbands in exchange for products such as samples of Auro-Dri, Auro-Dri coupons, WLSL Wristbands and Temporary Tattoos. The wristbands were used to cross-check with the sign-in registration sheet to get the accurate number of participants in the World’s Largest Swimming Lesson. Samples of Auro-Dri were distributed in 5 different locations throughout the United States including the 3 locations where Olympic Athletes were leading and promoting the event: Orange County, Denver, and Orlando. One box of Auro-Dri was given to each participating family.

419 People participated at Typhoon Lagoon and an estimated 100,000 People participated World-Wide
